Suzan Mutesi, the Fashion Icon

“Tropics Magazine’s Entrepreneur of the Week” is Suzan Mutesi Mufumbiro, thefashion icon behind the label Achea-Mpong by Mutesi.

Her love for fashion began as a little girl playing with African fiber dolls and dressing her friends’ dolls using only the scraps from are old clothing.

Today, Suzan Mutesi is the brain behind the “Achea-Mpong” fashion label and she has been dubbed the title of “The African Fashion Icon that Conquered Australia.” Ugandan Suzan Mutesi is “paving the way forward” for next generations.

Son amour pour la mode a commencé pendant son jeune âge lorsqu’elle jouait avec des poupées traditionnelles à base de fibre. Elle décide de s’envoler pour Sidney pour y terminer ses études secondaires puis ensuite se lancer dans une carrière de design après une formation universitaire intense.

Aujourd’hui, Suzan Mutesi est une jeune entrepreneure dans le secteur de la mode quidéfend si bien ses racines africaines puisque son travail lui a valu le titre de «L’icône de la mode africaine qui a conquis le cœur des Australiens. » Ougandaise d’origine, Suzan Mutesi est « montre le chemin à suivre » aux générations à venir.
